Who is this course for?

An excellent introduction for those of you wishing to develop a new skill or for those of you considering a career in massage.

In this one day workshop you will learn the fundamentals of massage and cover the following topics:

The history of massage
Benefits of massage
Contra indications to massage
Massage oils, benefits and uses
Massage techniques/movements - effleurage, petrissage, tapotement and frictions.

Groups are small to maximise learning, maximum group size is 4

How will you be taught?

This course is taught via short lectures/presentations, with the emphasis being on the practical Demonstrations by your tutor followed by practice in pairs.

Students will be required to practice on each other, it’s a very hands on day!

What will you learn?

You will learn how to give a basic massage to the back of the body, the legs, back, neck and shoulders

You are encouraged to practice your new skill after the class.

What do I need to bring?


You will need to bring with you to class the following items:
- Pen and paper
- Three large bath sheets/ towels (one to lie on, two to cover)
- One hand towel
- Antiseptic or antibacterial wet wipes (for cleaning hands)
-Face mask (to be worn on site)
-Visor (worn when practising)

This course does not qualify you to practice professionally

Head, Neck & Shoulder Massage Workshop

11.00am - 4.30pm

On this course you will learn how to deliver an effective massage to the Head, Neck and Shoulders.
As well as giving a massage you will receive one!

Who is this course for?

This course is Suitable for those wishing to develop a new skill or just see if a career in massage is for you.

How will you be taught?

This course is delivered with a variety of short lectures, you will be expected to fill out the course handbook, for reading in your own time. Massage Demos by your tutor, followed by practice in pairs.

This is a very hands on day

Maximum group size is 4 learners, Lots of individual attention to maximise learning

You will cover:

The benefits on head massage
Health, safety and hygiene
Consultation techniques
Contraindications and contractions to massage
Massage oils, differences, uses and benefits


Certificate of Attendance received at the end of the day

This course does not qualify you to practice professionally

What do I need to bring?


You will need to bring with you to class the following items:

Intro to massage workshop

A 2 day course which is great for those wishing to learn more about massage, wishing to learn a new skill or just see if massage is a career for you! A Great foundation before embarking on a Level 3 Massage course.
This course is also suitable for those wishing to refresh their skills.

How will you be taught?

This course is delivered with a variety of short lectures and Demos by you tutor followed by practice in pairs.
You will learn how to give a full body massage

You will cover:

The benefits of massage
Health, safety and hygiene
The history of massage
Contra indications and contra actions to massage
Massage oils, differences, benefits and uses
Massage Movements
Massage routine of the legs, arms, back, neck and shoulders.

This course does not qualify you to practice professionally


Maximum group size is 4 learners

Massage oil and couches are provided by the Training centre


Certificate of Attendance received at the end of the day
